A McAllen city commissioner has been released from jail after posting bond. Rodolfo “Rudy” Castillo had spent more than two weeks in custody before his release yesterday.

Castillo and his wife were arrested earlier this month as part of a federal investigation into ropa usada businesses in South Texas. The judge in the case required Castillo to pay the entire 100-thousand-dollar bond before he could be released. He is also not allowed to speak to his wife about the case until the charges are resolved.
