A McAllen city commissioner who was recently released from federal custody after posting bond says he has no plans to resign. Commissioner Rodolfo “Rudy” Castillo returned to McAllen City Hall yesterday for the first time since his arrest earlier this month. Castillo and his wife have been charged with money laundering and smuggling connected to the used clothing business they run in McAllen. Castillo says he has the support of his constituents and that they have encouraged him not to resign.
