McAllen Commissioners Set Special Election Date


The City of McAllen is setting a date for a special election to fill the District Four commissioner’s seat. The city commission decided on Monday to hold the election on January 22nd.

Commissioner Tania Ramirez was required to step down from the position after deciding to seek the Democratic nomination for Hidalgo County judge. The city is required to fill the vacant position within 120 days.
