A graduate of McAllen Memorial High School is being credited with a key role in Wednesday’s Artemis Two launch.
Debbie Whitis Korth graduated from the school in 1987. She reportedly became interested in aerospace engineering while studying physics at the school. That led to her current position with NASA as the deputy manager for the Orion program. She is credited as being one of the chief engineers and designers of the Artemis spacecraft, which launched successfully from Florida’s Kennedy Space Center yesterday.
