The state of Texas is giving Mercedes its film-friendly stamp of approval. The Texas Film Commission recently named the city a Film Friendly Texas Certified Community.
City officials had to complete a multi-part training process to earn the designation. Governor Abbott welcomed the city in a statement, saying the certification could help attract new investments in media production.
