By U.S. Customs and Border Protection says more than a million dollars in illegal drugs were seized last week at the Los Indios International Bridge.
A 37-year-old Mexican citizen was stopped by inspectors on October 6th. A secondary inspection led to the discovery of 67 pounds of suspected meth and more than 42 pounds of suspected heroin.
The combined street value of the drugs was estimated at over one-point-three-million dollars. The driver was taken into custody for further investigation.
