The City of Mission will be run by two people until a new city manager is hired. The city council decided Tuesday to appoint Assistant City Managers Juan Pablo Terrazas and Andy Garcia as interim co-city managers.

The decision comes after city officials announced plans last month to transition City Manager Mike Perez to a consultant role.

Perez reportedly did not agree with that decision and placed himself on administrative leave. The council said the new co-managers will assume their duties immediately.
