Mission CISD Cuts Property Taxes For Fourth Consecutive Year


The Mission Consolidated Independent School District at their September 8th meeting voted to reduce their property tax rate a fourth time in four years. Property owners in MCISD will see a property tax of $1.1332 per $100 of property valuation which is six cents lower than the previous year. According to MCISD, someone who has a $100,000 home would save about $66 annually over the previous year. MCISD tax cuts in the past four years yielded a cut as much as 10 cents in 2019 and as little as one cent in 2018.
