Mission – Mazatlán Advance Sister Cities Relationship

The cities of Mission and Mazatlán are soon to become sisters. On Tuesday, Valley Central reported that Mission Mayor Doctor Armando O’Caña was in Mazatlán, Sinaloa last week to sign an initial alliance agreement which paves the way for full sister city status.

Mayor O’Caña says a Mazatlán official delegation will come to Mission in September to finish the signing of the alliance. One of the projects the two cities are working on is a high speed passenger railway service that would run through the Mission area on the rail line that would connect Dallas to Mazatlán.
