The president of the Progreso school board was reportedly trespassing on his ex-girlfriend’s property when he was arrested earlier this week.
An arrest report indicates that police were called to a home in Weslaco on Tuesday because a man was honking his horn and refusing to leave the property. Officers reportedly found Juan Jose Ramos in his car with a pack of beer, and one of the bottles appeared to be open.
Investigators say Ramos told them he’d had between six and eight beers over a four to five-hour period. Officers also allegedly found a rolled-up dollar bill holding cocaine in Ramos’ wallet. He was booked on charges of public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.
