Most Hidalgo County government offices will be reopening today. County Judge Richard Cortez said Wednesday that some county buildings continue to have issues with electricity or water but he expects most of them to offer limited services.
In a statement, he said most county buildings have been affected by the shortcomings of the state’s power grid and thanked local residents for their patience. He also advised those residents to call ahead to make sure the office they need to do business with is open.
