Elon Musk says he’s leaving DOGE. The billionaire posted on X that as his time as a special government employee comes to an end, he’d like to thank President Trump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending.
Musk has helped lead the Department of Government Efficiency since it was established in January. He concluded his post saying the DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.
As a special government employee, Musk was allowed to work for the administration for 130 days in a calendar year.
