National Weather Service Issues Report On Impact Of February Freeze

The National Weather Service says last month’s blast of arctic cold in South Texas was the worst deep freeze for the region in more than three decades.

A report issued this week by the weather service says temperatures measured from February 14th to February 20th were the worst in terms of intensity and duration since December of 1989.

The report says infrastructure and agricultural damage could total more than two-billion-dollars in the Rio Grande Valley once final figures are put together.
