NCAA Sends Six Referees Home After Positive COVID-19 Case


The NCAA is sending six referees home from March Madness after one tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. The NCAA said in a statement that one official tested positive and five others were identified as exposure risks due to prolonged close contact.

The NCAA Tournament begins Thursday with the First Four. All games are being played in Indianapolis this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
