A 19-year-old woman is being charged with murder following a shooting in rural Donna. Kayla Alejandra Gonzalez was arraigned Tuesday and had her bond set at one-million dollars.
Gonzalez was arrested early Monday after Hidalgo County deputies discovered the body of 43-year-old Gerardo Trevino. Court documents indicate that Gonzalez admitted to shooting Trevino with a rifle. The case is still being investigated.
