NJ Gov Agrees Independent Investigation Is Needed Into Cuomo Allegations

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is joining several others in calling for an independent investigation into sexual harassment claims against the New York governor.

Murphy gave Governor Andrew Cuomo some credit, saying a partnership during the coronavirus pandemic has helped New Jersey. However, he says the allegations are deeply troubling and concerning. He added anyone who accuses someone of sexual misconduct deserves to have their story heard. This comes as Cuomo’s administration is reportedly hiring a criminal defense attorney.
