NOAA: 70% Chance Of 15-21 Named Storms This Hurricane Season

Forecasters warn conditions are ripe for an above-average hurricane season. It their updated outlook, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says there’s a 70-percent chance of having between 15 and 21 named storms.

Seven to ten are expected to be hurricanes and up to five could reach at least category three strength. There were seven major hurricanes last year while 30 storms were named.
