Nonprofit Names RGV Schools That Were Most Affected By Pandemic

An education nonprofit is releasing a report on the Rio Grande Valley schools that were most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Children At Risk analyzed STAAR test results at nearly 600 RGV schools during the last school year and compared them to the results of the same tests taken in the 2018-2019 school year.  The report released yesterday placed 56 RGV schools in the Red Flag category because they performed well previously but had a significant drop in academic achievement during the pandemic.  More than 200 Valley schools were praised as pandemic resilient schools for maintaining or improving their academic performance during the pandemic.
