The New York state attorney general’s office is taking charge of the probe into sexual harassment allegations against Governor Andrew Cuomo. This comes after a second former female staffer came forward with harassment allegations over the weekend.
In a statement, the governor apologized for making jokes that he says some people may have interpreted as insensitive or too personal. He also said he has not inappropriately touched anyone and never intended to make colleagues feel uncomfortable.
A growing number of Democrats including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are calling for an independent investigation.
