Governor Andrew Cuomo could lose his coronavirus-related emergency powers this week. That’s if New York State lawmakers vote to do so.
Democrats in Albany have reportedly reached a deal to remove those powers after accusations of mismanagement of nursing homes and allegations of harassment by three women.
The governor has had the authority to do things like issue mandatory mask-wearing and make mandatory quarantine rules. Meanwhile, The Working Families party is joining a growing list of people and organizations calling on Cuomo to resign.
