Oklahoma Governor Signs Anti-Abortion Measures

0

Three abortion restriction measures in Oklahoma will take effect later this year. Governor Kevin Stitt signed the bills Monday.

One bans most abortions when a fetal heartbeat can be detected, while another places additional certification requirements on abortion-performing doctors including obstetrics and gynecology.

Another measure classifies abortion procedures as “unprofessional conduct” for doctors. The new laws will take effect in November.
