The new mayor of Edinburg says he will work tirelessly to make sure every resident has a chance to reach their dreams. Omar Ochoa was sworn in as mayor during a ceremony on Wednesday.

Ochoa said his election showed that voters want to move the city forward and ensure that its best days are ahead. Place One City Councilmember Daniel Diaz was also sworn in during Wednesday’s ceremony.
