A man has died after a tractor-trailer crash in Hidalgo County. The Texas Department of Public Safety says the crash happened just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday on FM-186 in Linn.
Investigators believe the trailer left the roadway into a ditch and then hit a light pole and a tree. The tractor-trailer caught on fire, killing the driver and destroying the vehicle. Seventy-four-year-old Alberto Montoya of Brownsville died in the crash. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
