More than two-thousand nurses in Pennsylvania are planning to strike next week amid skyrocketing coronavirus infections. Hospitals are overwhelmed around the country and the union representing the nurses says these frontline health workers are being pushed to the brink.

The union says better guidelines are needed and nurses need to be involved in those discussions. The COVID Tracking Project says over 67-thousand people were in hospitals across the country because of the virus on Thursday, the highest since the pandemic began.
