Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing a San Antonio music venue for not allowing an off-duty armed police officer to enter.

Paxton’s lawsuit claims that in January of this year, the Paper Tiger refused to let off-duty San Antonio police officer Raul Tijerina into the building with his weapon. A 2017 state law allows officers to carry authorized weapons into public establishments.

The owners of the Paper Tiger could be fined a thousand dollars. The lawsuit also seeks a court order forcing the club to comply in the future.
