Pena Takes Oath To Take Back Seat As Brownsville School Trustee

Marisa Leal is out and Minerva Pena is back in. Pena was sworn in to the Place 6 seat on the Brownsville school board Friday just a matter of weeks after Leal had been given the oath of office.

Leal had been declared the winner of the November 3rd election after the vote count showed her beating Pena by a single vote. Pena requested a recount, which showed her winning by 8 votes. Pena will be serving as the Place 6 trustee for a fourth term.
