Pharr Capital Murder Investigation Involves Death Of Baby

Police in Pharr are not releasing many details about an investigation that led to capital murder charges against two people. Miguel Ortiz, Junior and Karina Ramirez were charged on Monday.

A city spokesperson says the charges were placed after officers found a two-month-old child dead during a welfare check on Sunday.

Ortiz was also charged with possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence and was given a five-million-dollar bond. Ramirez was given a three-million-dollar bond.
