Pharr To Invest $40M In High-Speed Internet


The city of Pharr wants to bring high-speed internet to everyone living in the city. Pharr officials announced Friday that they will invest 40-million-dollars to install more than two-million feet of fiber optic cable throughout the city.

They estimate the new infrastructure will provide internet speeds of up to one gigabyte to all users. The city expects the new internet service to be available in about 12 months.
