Police Arrest Suspect In Brownsville Convenience Store, Bank Robberies


A suspect is in custody after robbing a convenience store and trying to rob a bank in Brownsville.

Brownsville police say late Tuesday morning, 44-year-old Martin Edwards handed a note demanding money to a clerk at the Stripes store near Central Boulevard and Price Road, then walked to a nearby IBC bank.

However, police say he left without any money. Police tracked Edwards to a nearby motel where he was arrested.
