Police Officer On Leave After Crashing Patrol Vehicle Into Crowd, Injuring Two

A Washington state police officer is on paid leave after plowing his patrol vehicle into a crowd of people in downtown Tacoma.

Viral video of Saturday’s incident shows the stopped SUV reverse a couple of feet and then pause before suddenly surging forward into the crowd, knocking down several people and running over at least one person. At least two people were hospitalized.
