Police are releasing more information about the arrest of a student following a lockdown at Edcouch-Elsa High School.

Officers searched the school on Monday after a threat on social media about a student who might have a gun. No gun was found, and a student detained as part of the investigation was released without charges.

More threats were posted, and police traced the messages to a phone on campus. That led to the arrest of a 17-year-old student who reportedly confessed to sending the threats. Charges in the case are pending.
