Police in McAllen have turned up a new lead in their search for the man who allegedly shot and killed Mission businessman Eddy Betancourt.

Investigators released a picture of 61-year-old Leonel Perez Delgado Monday. They say Delgado helped transport murder suspect Reynaldo Mata-Rios into Mexico following Betancourt’s December 27th death.
Delgado is wanted on a charge of hindering the apprehension or prosecution of a suspect. Anyone with information about Mata-Rios or Delgado should call the police or leave a tip with McAllen Crime Stoppers.
