Pope Blesses, Congratulates Biden During Call

President-elect Joe Biden is taking more calls from world leaders, including Pope Francis. Biden thanked him for his “blessing and congratulations.” He told the Pope he wants to work together on issues including caring for the poor, addressing climate change, and welcoming immigrants and refugees.

Biden will be the second Catholic president ever in the White House. He’s pledged to restore the “soul of the nation.”
