Port Of Brownsville Announces Record Year For Cargo, Revenue


The Port of Brownsville is celebrating a record year for both cargo movement and total revenue.

The Brownsville Navigation District says the port moved just over 11-million tons of cargo last year, bringing in 41-million-dollars in revenue. That compares to just over 25-million-dollars in operating revenue in 2019. The port also had over 51-thousand railcar movements last year, up 24-percent from 2019.
