A Sugar Land postal worker accused of stealing mail has a bond hearing scheduled for this morning.

Sugar Land police arrested Jeland Mouton on Monday night near the post office on Matlage Way, where he worked. Officers stopped Mouton as he was leaving work and reportedly found hundreds of pieces of stolen mail in his car.

Investigators are now checking to see whether Mouton specifically searched for envelopes containing checks.
