This weekend’s winter weather is bringing back memories of Winter Storm Uri, which plunged the state into darkness for days. The operators of the Texas power grid say, this time, they’re ready.

Thomas Gleeson, who heads the Public Utility Commission, says there is plenty of natural gas to power the generators. He says that power companies across the state have made sure that online outage trackers are working as a way to keep the public informed.
