Voter turnout for Tuesday’s primaries is setting new records in Hidalgo and Cameron counties.

Over 86-thousand votes were recorded in Hidalgo County, and 67-thousand of those votes were made by Democrats.

More than 48-thousand votes were cast in Cameron County, and nearly 35-thousand were made by Democrats. Voters will return to the polls for runoff elections in May.
