By The City of Progreso has fired its public works director. Jose Moreno was terminated following a closed-door meeting of city leaders on Monday.
Wednesday’s termination letter ordered Moreno to turn over all city-owned property in his possession immediately.
The city manager, city attorney and mayor were also reportedly discussed during Monday’s meeting, but no action has been taken against them.
