By A new study shows that public sector worker pay in Texas is skyrocketing. James Quintero with the Texas Public Policy Foundation says the average worker for the city of Austin is taking home twice as much as the city’s median income. And, in San Antonio, the head of the Harlandale school district is paid 630-thousand dollars. That’s tops in the state. This, he says, is why property taxes keep going up.
