‘Quite frankly shocking’: US Virus Deaths Hit Record Levels

(AP)–Deaths from the coronavirus in the U.S. have soared to more than 2,200 a day on average. That mirrors the frightening peak set last April. And cases per day have eclipsed 200,000 on average for the first time on record.

The crisis is all but certain to get worse from the fallout of Americans traveling in droves around Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s.
