Report: Border Patrol Apprehended 180K Foreign Nationals In May


U.S. Customs and Border Protection says the number of foreign nationals detained at the US-Mexico border continues to climb.

The Border Patrol apprehended just over 180-thousand people at the border last month, up from 178-thousand in April.

The number of unaccompanied minors dropped 23-percent from April to May to just under 11-thousand. The number of children in CBP custody also dropped from nearly three-thousand in April to just over 600 last month.
