A San Antonio school is under fire for allegedly waiting 20 minutes to call 9-1-1 after reports of a gun on campus. IDEA Public Schools’ Judson campus was placed on lockdown mode last week after officials received a report of someone with a gun on school grounds.
Some parents are questioning why it took the school a full 20 minutes to call 9-1-1 after they learned about the initial report. They’re mad that the school was actually still letting kids onto campus and that no one told them about potential trouble.
School officials will only say that their own on-site peace officer began investigating the report and clearing classrooms before 9-1-1 was called.
