A Rio Grande City police officer is under arrest. The police department says Officer Albert Garcia was taken into custody and booked on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The department has not released any information about the incident nor what led to the arrest. Garcia has been with the Rio Grande City PD for a little more than a year.
