Rio Grande Valley leaders say working together will help ensure the region gets vital state and federal support for future growth. Officials from Hidalgo, Cameron, Willacy and Starr counties met in Mission Wednesday for a luncheon sponsored by the Rio Grande Valley Partnership.
Leaders emphasized the need for infrastructure investment to support ongoing economic growth in the region. Topics discussed at the luncheon included the need for transportation and drainage improvements, better healthcare and attracting more high-paying jobs to the area.
