The superintendent of Uvalde ISD says the students and staff of Robb Elementary School won’t return to the school in the fall.

Dr. Hal Harrell issued a letter on Wednesday stating the school won’t host classes in the coming school year, but he didn’t say where the school’s nearly 600 students will go.

Democratic State Senator Roland Gutierrez of San Antonio says the federal government may tear the school down and replace it. An 18-year-old gunman killed 21 people on the campus last week.
