Runoffs Expected In Several State, Local Primary Races

South Texas voters will be going back to the polls in May to decide several unresolved primary races.

Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino, Junior, failed to secure enough votes to win his Democratic primary race and is likely to face Port of Brownsville Board Chairman Steve Guerra in a runoff.

Several Texas Legislature races are still undecided, including the Democratic and Republican nominations for House District 41.

Voters will also have to choose a winner between Attorney General Ken Paxton and Senator John Cornyn in the statewide Republican U.S. Senate primary.
