By The Jewish Federation of San Antonio says some of the victims of the Sunday shooting at a Hanukkah celebration in Australia have relatives in South Texas.
A local preschool teacher’s uncle was one of at least 15 people killed in the shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney. Also, the son of a Texas A&M Jewish student group’s head rabbi is one of the many people who were wounded.
A local rabbi’s niece was present during the shooting, but she and her baby weren’t harmed.
