A San Benito woman has died after a Christmas Eve crash in Cameron County. The Texas Department of Public Safety says a red Nissan Sentra hit a pedestrian on State Highway 345 at Castillo Road. Seventy-three-year-old Elean Silva died at the scene.
Investigators say the driver stopped at the scene to render aid after the crash. DPS is still investigating the woman’s death.
