Arlington police say the suspect in Wednesday’s school shooting is being held in jail on a 75-thousand-dollar bond.

The suspect, 18-year-old Timothy Simpkins, turned himself in on Wednesday afternoon and is charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The Grand Prairie police say the .45 caliber handgun Simpkins reportedly used was found in the street several miles from the campus. All classes, athletic events, and after-school activities at Timberview High School are canceled for today.
