Texas Governor Greg Abbott is taking a victory lap after signing a voucher bill that allows parents to use tax dollars to send their kids to private schools. He told a crowd in Austin that families will no longer be limited to their neighborhood school.
Texas must be tops in the nation when it comes to education, he said, vowing that vouchers will not hurt public schools funding.
